It’s so important to always remember that we must truly love others around us-even when and maybe especially when-our heart feels broken or betrayed. It is not flesh and blood we are wrestling with – it’s that dang devil that wants to destroy and hurt “them” as well as you.
I’ve actually heard the voice of Corrie Ten Boom say to hold those you love loosely so that the Father never has to pry them (or anything else) from your hand. While I concur I also think we should hold our hurts and offenses we “feel” are committed against us loosely. Your battle is not against the person who often times is even your brother or sister in Christ.
When you feel pressed take a deep breath. Remind yourself that you are not perfect and that someone that strikes out might really believe that they are truly right and you are not capable of really understanding their motives. Our patient and loving Father understands your heart AND theirs. Your only real job is to make sure things are right between you and the Father and continue to love. (I’m not suggesting you keep yourself in harms way or become a doormat. Often the best thing is to remove ourselves however we must never stop loving or praying and we should never waste time pointing fingers.)
Let HIM sort it out and you just mind your own biscuits and gravy. 🙂
I know it’s hard but dear one you can do it! If you’ll stop and think about it for a second you’ll realize you’ve got too much to do in your own life to stay focused on someone else’s walk! We humans are such complex creatures but no worries, the Father knows more than we do and He is the great sorter outer.
“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.” –Â Ephesians 6:10-12
